Experts from the Munich Institute for Economic Research came to this conclusion, Ukrinform reports.
A recent Institute survey included 1,517 Ukrainians who arrived in Germany after the start of the full-scale invasion. The share of men among respondents reached 21%, while in May-June 2022 they were only 7%.
The proportion of respondents who expressed their intention to stay in Germany for a longer period of time increased from 39 to 44% compared to the previous survey.
Almost a fifth of refugees from Ukraine (18%) were employed at the beginning of 2023. Another 5% studied and 2% did internships. Three quarters of Ukrainian refugees attended German language courses.
