A senior Hamas commander, Muetaz Eid, was killed in the Gaza Strip. This was reported on Sunday, October 15, on the IDF’s official Telegram channel.
“According to accurate intelligence reports from the ISA and IDF, Muetaz Eid, commander of the Southern National Security District of Hamas, was killed,” the statement said.
The IDF also announced the destruction of dozens of military headquarters, a number of military observation posts, as well as several missile launchers used by the terrorist organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
During the day, the IDF attacked approximately 250 Hamas military targets, most of them in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces said it had killed Merad Abu Merad, who was one of the main people responsible for the October 7 attack on the country.
