The Mi-8 is a Soviet multi-role helicopter, the first model of which appeared in the early 1960s.
Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a Russian Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopter. Colonel General Alexander Syrsky, Commander of the Ground Forces announced this on Sunday, October 15, on his Telegram channel.
He thanked the servicemen of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade for their “great job.”
“It’s burning well. Well done, fighters,” Syrsky added.
The commander also published a video showing an enemy helicopter on fire.
We remind you that at the end of August it became known that a Russian Mi-8 helicopter flew over Ukraine and surrendered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian pilot secretly agreed with Ukrainian intelligence.
