Strategic aviation of the Air Force has not carried out massive attacks on Ukrainian cities since September 21, that is, for 21 days. Such breaks are unusual, as the last such break in strikes occurred between March 9 and April 28, 2023. Then Ukraine was not attacked on a massive scale for 51 days. This is stated in the report of the British Ministry of Defense, which appeared on Twitter on October 12.
The British believe Russia may have nearly exhausted its supply of operational AS-23 rocket ammunition after winter attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure. Therefore, the invaders can use this three-week pause to accumulate new stocks of missiles in order to then launch massive attacks.
UK intelligence also added that the aggressor country is more likely to use Shahed-type attack drones to strike Ukrainian ports on the Danube River due to their greater accuracy compared to other types of air-launched missiles.
Let us recall that the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia is increasingly using attack drones and in the near future they will prevail over missiles in attacks on the territory of Ukraine.
