In February 2022, before the start of a large-scale invasion, a Russian group of up to 150,000 people was concentrated near the borders of Ukraine.

Currently, approximately 430,000 occupiers are participating in Russia’s war against Ukraine. The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Vadim Skibitsky, said this on Wednesday, October 11, in an interview with UP.

“Today, almost 430,000 military personnel of the Russian armed forces are on our territory,” Skibitsky said.

Speaking about the national composition of the Russian army, he noted that it included Chechens, Dagestanis, Ingush, and representatives of other nationalities, but it was difficult to determine the exact number of national minorities among the invaders.

Skibitsky emphasized that there were still many Russians in the army.

“The loss of the Slavic population of the Russian Federation in the war is significant. And the Russian Federation will feel it in the future,” Skibitsky assured.

Let’s recall that since the beginning of the war, the total combat losses of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine are about 283,900 people. In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liquidated 820 invaders.
