At least 123 Israeli soldiers were killed. 50 Israeli families were told their loved ones had been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip.
Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said the Israeli army lost at least 123 soldiers in the Hamas attack. Haaretz reports.
According to him, 50 Israeli families have been notified that their loved ones have been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip. At least 123 Israeli soldiers were killed.
Hagari added that the IDF has gained control of all Israeli cities and towns near the Gaza Strip border.
“As far as we understand, no terrorists entered Israeli territory at night. There were several incidents of clashes with terrorists hiding in Israeli territory after the first attack,” he said.
Hagari also said that Israel conducts airstrikes on the Gaza Strip every four hours. As for the border with Lebanon, there are no “safe” incidents there. However, the IDF remains in a state of readiness.
Let’s remember that on October 7, Hamas militants carried out a massive rocket attack on Israel and entered its territory. In response, the Israeli army announced the start of Operation Iron Swords and attacked the group’s targets in the Gaza Strip.
As a result of the conflict, more than 1,100 people died on both sides and several thousand more were injured.
As reported, 300 thousand reserves were mobilized in Israel.
