The Polish authorities transferred to the Forces the defense of the territory of the land with a recreation center in Skubianka, which used to belong to the Russian Embassy. About that reports Press service of the Polish Ministry of Defense.
“This is a symbol that we won from the aggressor, from the state that attacks neighboring countries, that is, from Russia, the land that will serve the Polish army, will serve the Territorial Defense Forces, whose command is placed here nearby,” – noted Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.
According to him, military territorial defense exercises will be held in these territories.
According to European reality, the Russian Embassy has been leasing a recreation center in the Skubianki area on the Zegrzyn Reservoir near Warsaw since the 1980s. State Forestry Director Józef Kubica said that in mid-April 2022, Warsaw unilaterally terminated the lease agreement due to Russia’s war in Ukraine.
