Ukrainian singer Nina Matvienko has died

Nina Matvienko was born on October 10, 1947 in the village of Nedelishche, Emilchinsky district, Zhitomir region.

In 1968 he graduated from the vocal studio of the Grigory Verevka Choir and became its soloist. The singer’s repertoire includes many folk songs, including ritual, lyrical, humorous, and ballad songs.

Matvienko played in television plays Marusya Churay, Katerina Bilokur, Water spilled on chotiri brodyfeature films Solomyani rang, the letter disappearedin radio plays Gun flight, Clarinets of tenderness.

He had several state awards, in particular, the title of People’s Artist and Hero of Ukraine.
