Today, October 8, at about 01:00, the Russian invaders shelled Kherson with artillery. The Korabelny and Suvorovsky districts of the city came under enemy fire.

The enemy also repeatedly drove through the city and populated areas on the right bank. The head of the Kherson OVA, Alexander Prokudin, announced this in his Telegram channel.
Subsequently, Prokudin reported that 11 citizens were injured.
- a 27-year-old woman and a nine-month-old daughter were hospitalized in moderate condition;
- a 33-year-old Red Cross medic suffered an explosion injury and concussion and was hospitalized;
- several Kherson residents suffered an acute stress reaction and had to be taken to the hospital (these are two spouses – a 67-year-old husband and a 63-year-old wife, as well as a 56-year-old husband and a 54-year-old wife, as well as two women, 87 and 62 years old);
- At the scene, doctors treated men aged 24 and 34.

Over the past day, October 7, the enemy carried out 59 attacks on the Kherson region, firing 402 shells from mortars, artillery, Grads, tanks, aircraft, and UAVs. The enemy fired 18 shells into the city of Kherson. As a result, the Russian military ended up in:
- residential areas of settlements in the region;
- transport base in the Kherson region;
- enterprise in the Berislavsky district.
As a result of these attacks, three people were injured.
