As a result of the mass attack of Kherson, 11 civilians were injured, including a child. The head of the Kherson regional administration, Alexander Prokudin, announced this on October 8.

“Kherson region experienced another terrible night… The enemy repeatedly hit the city and settlements on the right bank. The residential areas were set on fire by the attackers. The houses, cars, gas distribution networks were damaged. Some shells did not explode. They were removed by rescuers,” he noted.

The regional leader said 11 citizens were injured; a 27-year-old woman and her 9-month-old daughter were hospitalized in moderate condition. Among the victims was a 33-year-old Red Cross medic. He had a blast injury and a concussion. The man was hospitalized.

Several residents of Kherson suffered a severe stress reaction.

The village of Stanislav was also attacked by Grad, Prokudin added.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on the night of October 8, Russian troops extensively shelled the city of Kherson and a village in the community of Stanislav.

“In the regional center, seven townspeople were injured, including a nine-month-old child. In the village, attackers broke into a private house. A family of four adults were injured,” the department said. .

A pre-trial investigation was launched into violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The previous day, the Russian army fired cluster munitions in the village of Belenkoye in the Zaporozhye region. As a result of the attack, one woman was killed and two other civilians were injured.
