Warsaw views Moscow as a growing threat and supports the US military presence in Europe.
Poland’s military security depends on its own army and its alliance with the United States. This was announced on Saturday, October 7, by the Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the ruling party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, writes Reuters.
“The first pillar is our own strong army. The second pillar is an alliance, of course within NATO, but there is really one country – the United States, because that is the only country that can really help,” Kaczynski said in a election rally in the city of Lublin.
He stressed that for the United States to want to help Poland, the country must be able to defend itself.
“If we put it together, then our enemies, you know who I mean – the Russians – will know that we have powerful forces to defend ourselves. Then there is no war, then we very safe,” stressed the politician.
Let’s remember that, according to the head of British military intelligence, Lieutenant General Jim Gockenhall, this year, neither Russia nor Ukraine is likely to achieve significant military success.
