Ukrainian paramedic and volunteer Yulia Paevskaya, call sign Taira, was operated on in Germany. On Saturday, October 7, Paevskaya herself announced this on Facebook.
He clarified that he underwent spinal surgery and it took place after his performance at the Invictus Games.
“Finally, I’m in Ukraine. The Invictus Games ended last month, as you know, but I had to stay in Germany to have my spine operated on. Everything went well and now I definitely don’t need crutches, ” he wrote.
According to Tyra, she now faces three months of rehabilitation, as her movements will be limited.
The paramedic added that while returning to Ukraine, he attended the Warsaw Security Forum, where they discussed the future of Ukraine and the current situation in the country.
The streaming platform Netflix has released the American documentary series Heart of Invictus. The main role here is played by the Ukrainian soldier and paramedic Yulia Paevskaya (Tayra).
In March 2023, Paevskaya became a laureate of the International Women of Courage (IWOC) award, presented by the US State Department.
