A resident of the Sumy region defrauded a woman of a significant amount of money for allegedly providing “healing” services.

Now the “healer” has already been detained. The press service of the National Police reported this today, October 7.
According to investigators, a 27-year-old woman, for the purpose of illegal enrichment, posted information about her alleged psychic abilities on one of the social networks, accompanying them with fake photographs of reviews of her “successful activities.”
After some time, a woman approached her who wanted to improve her health. “The suspect, realizing that the victim trusted her, began to ask for money for certain attributes for rituals. To which the trusted woman transferred funds totaling 1.9 million hryvnia to the attacker,” the police note.
The attacker was detained while trying to get another 160 thousand UAH from the victim.
She was informed of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 1 million 778 thousand hryvnia.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
