    .

This was reported on Friday, October 6, by several Russian media outlets associated with the Russian Aerospace Forces.

They reported that a Russian air defense crew hit a fighter jet with friendly fire during a combat mission in the area of occupied Mariupol.

According to information from Russian sources, the pilot, unfortunately, managed to escape, and the rescue operation continues.

Local residents report that the plane crashed in a field near the city and publish footage from the crash site.

This is not the first such case. Only a week ago, on Friday September 29, the Russians also shot down another Su-35 in the area of occupied Tokmak in Zaporozhye. According to preliminary information, the invaders themselves shot down their own plane with an anti-aircraft missile from the S-300 air defense system. The pilot was killed as a result of the impact.
