On October 6, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the candidacy of Yuriy Bolokhovets for the position of general director of the state specialized economic enterprise Forests of Ukraine. This was announced by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.
As you know, in April the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Yuri Bolokhovets from the post of head of the State Forestry Agency. Bolokhovets has headed the State Forestry Agency since 2021.
It should be noted that in the first quarter of 2023, the income of the State Forestry Enterprise of Ukraine reached UAH 4.6 billion, which exceeded the pre-war result of the enterprises of the State Forestry Agency. Revenue almost doubled – to almost UAH 500 million. Sales of forest products increased to 2.3 million cubic meters. m.
As reported, more than 130 thousand cubic meters have accumulated in the warehouses of the state-owned Forestry of Ukraine enterprise. m of firewood for the 2023/2024 heating season.
