Russian troops continue to terrorize the population in the temporarily occupied territories.
In Mariupol, Donetsk region, Russian occupiers detained three students. This was announced on Tuesday, October 3, by the Mariupol City Council.
It was noted that 9th grade students were accused of “creating a negative image of Russia” and “distributing nationalist symbols” in a closed Telegram group.
The propagandists say in their “news” that the children “spit on the V symbol,” “mock” the ribbons of St. George, the Russian flag and painted the sign of the “Azov” battalion.
The City Council added that the occupiers continue to destroy Ukrainian books in the occupied territories.
“The occupiers are constantly fighting the so-called “extremist materials”. These are library books. In particular, historical publications and Ukrainian classics. In the past, it can be seen that the occupiers were throwing away even the books of Lesya Ukrainka. Let’s remember that, according to preliminary estimates, the Russian invaders destroyed 180 thousand books and four libraries,” added the City Council.
We remind you that the defense of Mariupol lasted from February 24 – the day of the large-scale invasion of Putin’s invaders in Ukraine – until May 20, 2022. During the siege of Mariupol, the Russians, who carried out continuous artillery and air strikes on the city’s civilian infrastructure, killed, according to experts, about 100 thousand civilians.
The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Pyotr Andryushchenko, reported that the Russian occupiers were building direct rail connections to Mariupol, Volnovakha and Donetsk.
