Near Venice in northern Italy, a city bus carrying tourists ran off the road, overturned and caught fire. Among the victims were Ukrainians.
There were Ukrainians on a passenger bus transporting people around Venice and fell from an overpass onto the train tracks. The five victims of the road accident have been identified – citizens of our country. The Corriere del Veneto reported this on Wednesday, October 4.
“Among the identified victims are five Ukrainian citizens, a German and an Italian driver,” the publication said.
In total, 21 dead and 18 injured people are known. Five of them are in very serious condition. There were also children among the dead and injured.
According to preliminary data from the Prefecture of Venice, a group of Ukrainians, as well as citizens of Germany, France and Croatia, were on the bus that fell from a bridge in mainland Venice and caught fire.
Note that it took the firefighters several hours to remove the body from the vehicle. More than 40 ambulances are also in the area.
In Venice, a passenger bus fell from an overpass from a height of 15 m onto the tracks running along the route, killing 21 people, including two children.
We remind you that in Austria on the morning of September 19, a regular bus carrying 40 passengers overturned. As a result of the accident, one person died and many were injured, including Ukrainians.
