Ukraine may receive Bayraktar Akinci and this issue is under investigation, Baykar Makina CEO Khalyuk Bayraktar said in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to him, the Ukrainian military is familiar with what the Turkish company is doing and investing. It aims to make all existing systems in Ukraine.
“We have the necessary permits for this. Therefore, we can fully manufacture Bayraktar TB2, instead of assembling it. We can also fully manufacture Bayraktar Akinci here. We have permits from our government for this, which shows how close we are to fruition.” , said the CEO.
He emphasized that Ukraine is the first country where this will happen. The reality is that defense cooperation requires government permits.
“And we have this permission. Therefore, the issue of Akinci is considered, this is what I can say about it,” Bayraktar concluded.
It was previously reported that Baykar will invest $100 million in Ukraine. Baykar has three main investments in Ukraine. One of them is a drone production plant, the construction of which will be completed in 1.5 years.
