Kamikaze drones of the Shahed type, used for strikes in Ukraine, are a difficult and subtle target for air defense forces. In addition, the enemy will improve them for protection against electronic warfare.

Speaker of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat stated this on air at a national telethon, the Ukrinform agency reports.
The target itself is not simple, inconspicuous, small in size, and the speed is low. Low speed is a problem to detect it either by a fighter or other systems,” Ignat emphasized.
He also noted that even if the Shahed, having experienced the influence of electronic warfare, temporarily loses contact with the satellite, it can restore it by leaving the electronic warfare coverage area.
Ignat notes that “Shaheds” are high-precision weapons, they fly far and hit accurately. In addition, Russia can launch them in different ways to maximize the focus of air defense forces. For example, one group can fly in a circle, another directly, and thus the object is attacked from several sides at the same time.
