After the UN Security Council resolution on Iran expires, Tehran and Moscow may agree on the supply of missiles, Andrei Yusov confirmed.
Ukraine and its partners are taking measures to prevent the transfer of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia. This is what the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense Andrey Yusov said in a commentary for Ukrinform on Saturday, September 30.
In his opinion, there is a threat that after the expiration of the UN Security Council resolution on Iran, Tehran and Moscow may agree on the supply of ballistic missiles.
“Ukraine and our partners, of course, are monitoring these processes. We are taking some measures to prevent this step from taking place,” he said.
Earlier, Israeli Mossad intelligence director David Barnea said that Iran intends to transfer short- and long-range missiles to Russia in addition to drones. He said previous similar attempts had been foiled, but did not say who did it.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky also responded to information about Russia’s possible purchase of missiles from Iran.
