These countries have signed agreements with the European Defense Agency (EDA) for the supply of 155 mm shells for self-propelled artillery systems – the French CAESAR, the Polish Krab, the German PzH2000 and the Slovak Zuzana C/2000. The agreement concerns both finished projectiles and components – fuses, charges and capsules. Reuters reported this on September 29.
Seven member states have already placed orders for 155 mm ammunition under the accelerated EDA procedure, the material says.
It is noted that other orders from these countries may materialize in the near future. In particular, this is the replenishment of national reserves.
The defense agency did not name the countries that have already ordered shells for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, Lithuania and Luxembourg, at the request of journalists, confirmed that they were included in this seven.
Let us recall that in August the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company announced that, together with two NATO countries, they had established joint production of 120 mm mortar mines, which are produced using modern technologies and fully comply with the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance.
