The occupiers left these weapons during the fighting in the Chernihiv region. The air defense systems and ammunition were stored by 38-year-old and 45-year-old residents of the Boryspil region. Law enforcement officers discovered a missile system in the Brovary district. The second offender stored the ammunition in another region of the Kyiv region in a rented garage box. The Kyiv region police reported this on Facebook on September 29.
During the searches, police seized two sections with eight anti-aircraft missiles designed to solve air and missile defense problems. The court decided that the ammunition would be transferred to the needs of the defense forces. The cost of these missiles is estimated at approximately 30 million UAH.
The attackers were informed of suspicion regarding the storage, acquisition and transfer of military supplies. They face up to seven years in prison.
Let us recall that in the spring of 2023, in the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers registered more than 3 thousand captured weapons. The police are trying to control weapons so that they do not pass into the criminal world.
