This was reported by the press service of the German arms company.
The German government has given its consent to the Rheinmetall concern to create a joint defense enterprise. Initially, cooperation will focus on the maintenance and repair of equipment that Berlin transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Over time, it is planned to produce certain types of Rheinmetall products in Ukraine.
Cooperation may also include the development of military systems by teams of Ukrainian and German specialists – in particular, for their further export to Ukraine.
In early July, the company’s CEO said that the joint venture could open within the next three months.
Let us recall that in May Ukroboronprom created a joint venture with the German manufacturer of military equipment and weapons Rheinmetall.
