Ukraine has joined the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the president said in an evening video message.
In an evening video message to the people of Ukraine, President Vladimir Zelensky announced that Ukraine had joined the IAEA Board of Governors.
“There is a result on the IAEA site: Ukraine became a member of the Board of Governors of this organization – the International Atomic Energy Agency. And this not only emphasizes our international security role, but also gives the Ukraine has real opportunities to influence the decision- Doing so is binding on all IAEA members, for the entire international community. We will do everything to implement the first point of our Peace Formula – nuclear and radiation safety .
It was previously reported that Rafael Mariano Grossi has been reappointed to the position of Director General of the International Nuclear Energy Agency.
