The crime rate in Ukraine dropped to 15% during the war – head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said that the crime rate in Ukraine dropped to 15% during the war.

“The situation is under control for all major types of crimes. If we compare the beginning of a large-scale war with today, the number of major crimes has fallen by 10-15%,” he said.

At the same time, according to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there is an increase in fraud. The cyberpolice and criminal analysis unit is currently being expanded. In addition, the exchange of information with relevant SBU units is intensified.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, another challenge is the fight against drug trafficking. Therefore, the department’s unit for combating drug crime has been updated.
