Russian attack: air defense destroys 34 of 44 attack drones

Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the attack.

That night, Russian troops launched 44 attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type into Ukrainian airspace. Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down 34 drones, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Thursday, September 28.

Drones attacked Ukraine from the southeast, from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia and from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
