Ukrainian defenders in the direction of Bakhmut destroyed dozens of Russian weapons and succeeded in the areas of four settlements. The representative of the Eastern Group of Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ilya Yevlash spoke about this on Tuesday, September 26, in a telethon.
“On the southern flank we continued the offensive operation. In particular, we had victories near Zaitsev, Kleshchievka, Odradovka and Ivanovsky. There our defenders continued to knock down the enemy. Under heavy fire they held the line and gained a foothold in the achieved lines,” said Yevlash.
According to him, the enemy fired at our defenders in this direction 580 times. He used aviation four times, and had 12 military engagements.
At the same time, the Defense Forces destroyed 141 invaders, in addition, Ukrainian counter-battery units did an excellent job: they managed to destroy 10 D-30 guns, three D-20 guns, two installation of Pion and four Msta-B howitzers – that is, a whole division of artillery weapons.
In addition, according to Yevlash, the Ukrainian army destroyed the enemy’s reconnaissance equipment: Credo-1E, which detects the movement of equipment and people at any time of the year, the Murom-B observation station and the Irony optical-electronic device. The latter is used by the Russians to adjust the fire and monitor the movements of our troops in this direction.
