The training of Ukrainian pilots and technical personnel for the F-16 aircraft is likely to last six to eight months.
Ukraine to receive F-16 fighters next year; the Netherlands is currently working on launching a training center operating in Romania. This is what Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren said on MSNBC on Tuesday, September 26.
According to him, the training of Ukrainian pilots and technical personnel for the F-16 aircraft will probably last six to eight months.
“We don’t really know how long this training will take, so we estimate six to eight months, which is really fast compared to the training we do with our pilots. But it depends on many factors,” said Ollongren.
According to him, the Netherlands is currently working to launch a training center operating in Romania as soon as possible.
Recall that in August, the Netherlands and Romania signed a letter of intent to provide training and maintenance services for the F-16 at a training center in Romania.
