Meanwhile, the Kremlin said it “knows nothing about Sokolov’s death.” The Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, in response to a question about the death of the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, said: “There is no information from the Ministry of Defense.”
As is known, on September 22, a missile attack was carried out on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. The previous day, the MTR of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that 34 officers were killed then, including the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Vice Admiral Viktor Sokolov.
