The Orlovka-Isakcha checkpoint between Ukraine and Romania, located in the Odessa region, is not working.
Due to a night attack by Russia, the checkpoint in Romania is not working in the Odessa region. At the same time, enemy drones did not cross the border. Natalya Gumenyuk, a representative of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine, announced this on Radio Liberty on Tuesday, September 26.
“We are talking about the Orlovka-Isakcha checkpoint between Ukraine and Romania in the Odessa region,” he said.
Gumenyuk also denied the spreading information on Telegram channels that the Shaheds crossed into Romanian territory.
“We have no statement from the neighboring state that such facts have occurred. Nor have we recorded anything like that,” the spokesperson added.
We remind you that tonight Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type attack UAVs. Air defense forces in Ukraine destroyed 26 of 38 attack drones.
The Shahed’s night attack was aimed at the port and border infrastructure of the Odessa region. In the Izmail region, port infrastructure was hit. In addition, the checkpoint building, warehouses, around 30 trucks, and six trucks were burnt.
