On the night of September 26, 2023, the Russian occupiers attacked with Shahed-type attack UAVs. Launches of 38 attack UAVs Shahed-136/131 were recorded from the south-eastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Cape Chauda – Crimea). The air defense forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with units of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed 26 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups operated along the route of the attack drones. Over the past and current days, the tactical aviation of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has carried out more than 40 sorties, 20 of them to engage the enemy by fire.
According to Gumenyuk, the enemy again attacked the port and border infrastructure in the Odessa region with drones; there was a hit in the Danube region – vehicles caught fire in the waiting and registration area, there is information about two injured drivers. As a result, there was a risk for passengers on the bus as it prepared to cross the border.
The head of the Cherkasy OVA, Igor Taburets, said that four Shaheds were shot down over the Cherkasy region, but an infrastructure object was hit. Also at dawn, a ballistic missile exploded in Krivoy Rog, hitting the enterprise.
In the Nikolaev region, an agricultural enterprise caught fire due to debris. The fire has been extinguished. Kim also said that on the night of September 26, six Shaheds were shot down in the Nikolaev region.
Let us remind you that on the evening of September 25, Nikolaev suffered a missile attack. The hit occurred at an infrastructure facility in the outskirts of the city.
