The press service of the Miller law firm reported this today, September 25.
It is noted that today a regular meeting was held, during which the court partially granted the defense’s request to change the preventive measure from bail to personal obligation:
- the court reduced the bail amount from UAH 229 million to UAH 107 million, which had already been paid;
- Kobolev was given the opportunity to move freely throughout Ukraine – before the trial, his movements were limited to Kiev and the region;
- The requirement to use an electronic bracelet has been removed.
Among the remaining restrictions are a ban on traveling abroad, surrendering a passport, arriving at the request of a detective/prosecutor/investigator or court as part of the proceedings and refraining from communicating with members of the Supervisory Board and Naftogaz employees involved in the case, the message states.
Kobolev was declared suspicious on January 19. According to investigators, he illegally secured the payment of bonuses worth more than UAH 229 million. He was given bail in the amount of UAH 229 million with responsibilities, but Kobolev was unable to collect the appropriate amount on time.
