Gas tariffs for the population will not increase during the heating season, Naftogaz assured.
For the first time, Ukraine will pass the upcoming heating season using only its own gas. NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine reported this on Monday, September 25.
The company noted that the amount of gas produced by itself continues to increase.
“In 2023, Naftogaz drilled a record number of new wells, and we will continue this trend next year. We plan to get through this winter with Ukrainian gas, and our calculations confirm this possibility,” the statement said.
The NAC also assured that they are “absolutely confident” about the coming winter and therefore gas tariffs for the population will not increase.
We remind you that in August a new gas field was discovered in Ukraine, the reserves of which may reach 1 billion cubic meters.
Also last month, two new high-yield wells started up in Ukraine. They produce more than 430 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
