It is important for Russia to maintain surviving ships, as the invaders will need them to provide logistics in the event of the final destruction of the Crimean Bridge.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the number of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was 13 units. Today, five of these ships are decommissioned. The spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Pletenchuk spoke about this on the FREEDOM TV channel.
“Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Black Sea, the Russian Federation has 13 units – seven of them are standard, they drove another six under the guise of exercises before a full-scale invasion to strengthen their group. Five of them are no longer able to fight. According to the information we have, two of them were almost destroyed,” he said.
Pletenchuk emphasized that now it is important for Russia to protect the surviving ships, because the invaders will need them to provide logistics in the event of the final destruction of the Crimean Bridge.
Let’s recall that on September 13, the Ukrainian military attacked a ship repair plant in Sevastopol.
As a result of this attack, the diesel-electric submarine Rostov-on-Don and the landing ship Minsk were damaged. The first pictures of the wrecked ships appeared the same day.
It was also reported that an experimental SBU naval drone shot down the Russian missile ship Samum in the Black Sea.
And at the beginning of August in Novorossiysk, one of the landing ships, the Olenegorsk Miner, was damaged.
