Entrepreneurs will receive grants to open businesses that produce value products.
Ukraine intends to double the share of the processing industry in GDP. Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Economy Nadezhda Bigun spoke about this while speaking at the Regional Economic Forum, the Ministry of Economy reported on Saturday, September 23.
When formulating a strategy for the development of the real sector of the economy, we must focus on stimulating industries with high added value. And an important sector here is recycling. Let me give you an example – if you only sell wheat, then with the usual $300 worth of a ton of this product, the added value will be only $90. If you start making flour from it, the added value will increase to $220, if you make a more complex product from it – gluten – the added value will be $550. The same thing happens with other products – if there is only $26 in added value per cubic meter of wood, then in plywood made from it – which is $190, and in cabinet furniture – $290,” said Nadezhda Bigun.
He added that in the context of complex export logistics, Ukrainian exporters should look for ways to improve the efficiency of their logistics solutions. One of these ways is to increase the value added per unit of production.
“We are now implementing programs to stimulate processing. The first is grants of up to 8 million hryvnias, which can be received if the business is located in ordinary territories. In this case, financing occurs in the proportion of 50 % to 50% – half is given by the state, and half must be given to the applicant. The second program operates in the occupied territories, where 80% is funded by the state, and 20% by the applicant,” explained Frustrated
According to him, the greatest efforts will be focused on areas that need more restoration.
“The implementation of such programs should be the basis for the return of Ukrainians who went abroad, because a prerequisite for receiving funds is the creation of 25 jobs,” said Bigun.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy is looking for ways to work with local authorities to attract additional funds for recycling incentive programs. Such a financial incentive can be attractive to business, which, in turn, contributes to the economic development of the regions.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine exported 6 million tons of grain. In the previous marketing year for the same period, Ukraine exported 7.235 million tons of grain and legumes.
After the war, Ukraine will produce weapons for the whole world
