The Armenian armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh continue to deliver weapons and military equipment.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spoke about the first results of the collection of weapons from the Karabakh Armenians, which they agreed to lay down after Baku’s military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh this week.
The agency published a list of military equipment, weapons and ammunition confiscated until September 23 after the completion of “local anti-terrorist measures” in Karabakh. Disarmament continues in the region.
The list includes, among other things, four tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, 12 howitzers and 12 mortars, 468 mines and 956 mine charges, more than 66 thousand ammunition, 28 air defense systems, a Tor air defense system , 22 grenade launchers , 313 small arms and other types.
Let’s recall that Azerbaijan launched an “anti-terrorist” operation against Nagorno-Karabakh, the internationally recognized territory, on September 19 and announced its end on September 20.
After the operation, the country’s President Ilham Aliyev announced the restoration of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and “more favorable opportunities” to conclude a peace agreement with Armenia.
