The armed forces of Ukraine broke through the defenses of the Russian occupation army in the village of Verbovoye, Zaporozhye region.

This was announced by the commander of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria” Tarnavsky in an interview with CNN.
We have a breakthrough on the left flank near Verbov, and we continue to advance further. Not as fast as expected, not like in the films about World War II… The main thing is not to lose this initiative,” the commander noted.
Tarnavsky emphasized that Ukraine’s defense forces continue to advance further in this segment. The village of Verbovoye has been occupied since the end of February 2022.
Let us remind you that, according to the American Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive in the Zaporozhye region and have already advanced north of Novoprokopovka and are now approximately 800 m from the outskirts of the settlement. Active battles are taking place near Verbovoy, Malaya Tokmachka and Robotinoy. In the Melitopol direction, our defenders repulse Russian assaults and continue the offensive operation, exhausting the invaders along the entire front line.
