In Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, it is impossible to remain neutral. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this after a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa, the OP press service reported on Saturday, September 23.
“You are helping Ukraine or Russia. There are no mediators in this war. By weakening the aid to Ukraine, you will strengthen Russia. And powerful Russia and what to expect from it… I think it has been a long time history answered in books and witnesses,” he said, head of the country.
Zelensky stressed that weakening aid to Ukraine is a risk, but “to be honest and sincere, we have to fight for freedom, for democracy, for people’s rights.”
He thanked the partners who help Ukraine with funding and weapons.
“But this is not the biggest price. Ukraine is still paying the biggest price for this today – in people, in the number of deaths. Therefore, we are very grateful for the help,” concluded the president.
We remind you that this week Vladimir Zelensky visited the United States. He participated in the UN General Assembly and held several meetings. The Ukrainian leader also met with US President Joe Biden in Washington.
The day before, Zelensky arrived in Canada, where he met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
