On Friday, September 22, the European Commission paid Ukraine another €1.5 billion in macro-financial support out of an €18 billion package planned for 2023. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced this on Twitter.
The EU has paid Ukraine 13.5 billion euros this year to help Ukraine keep hospitals, schools and other services running, she said.
It also helps Ukraine on its path to the EU by supporting transformative reforms. Europe remains firmly on Ukraine’s side, the report said.
Let us recall that a month ago, on August 22, the European Union allocated a tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 1.5 billion euros. The European Commission promised even more tranches by the end of 2023.
