Poland supplies weapons to Ukraine only under previously concluded agreements, the government says.
Poland now carries only pre-agreed supplies of ammunition and weapons, including under contracts with Ukraine, in particular, we are talking about the supply of Krab howitzers. Polish government spokesman, Piotr Muller, announced this on September 21, PAP reports.
“In the context of the issue of arms supplies, I would like to inform you that Poland is only carrying out pre-agreed deliveries. This, among other things, is the largest foreign contract signed by the arms industry of Poland since 1989 – for the supply of Krab howitzers,” he said.
Müller added that the international assistance hub currently continues to operate in Poland.
“In the first months of the war, Poland transferred tanks, armored vehicles, aircraft and ammunition to Ukraine, which were necessary to stop the Russian aggression… In the first months of the war, when other countries in EU has discussed support, Poland continues to help repel the Russian attack,” said a government representative.
Let’s recall that the day before, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Warsaw is now focused on organizing its own army and therefore is not transferring military aid to Kyiv.
