While the German people are providing unprecedented defense assistance to Ukraine to defend against Russian aggression, the German companies Spinner and DMG MORI continue to cooperate with the Russian Federation, supporting its military potential. Without the machines of these companies, Russia cannot produce weapons and components for them.
According to Export Genius, from February 2022 to June 2023, SPINNER machines and components worth almost $15 million were imported to Russia. After the start of a large-scale war, the volume of supplies of SPINNER equipment to the Russian Federation increased by 500%.
So, right now, another machine is on its way from a factory in Turkey to Russia for the production of high-explosive fragmentation shells for Russian tanks, which are then used in the war against Ukraine.
We have no doubt that this device is critical to Russian aggression in Ukraine. We call on our German and Turkish partners to stop this delivery,” said Agia Zagrebelskaya, head of the direction of minimizing corruption risks in the sanctions policy of the NACP.
On the website of the official distributor of the SPINNER company in Russia, SPINNER LLC, it is indicated that it works “as usual.” And after the start of a large-scale war, the volume of supplies of SPINNER equipment to the Russian Federation increased by 500%.
The DMG MORI company is represented in Russia through DMG Mori Rus LLC, which operates a machine tool plant in Ulyanovsk – Ulyanovsk Machine Tool Plant LLC.
At the end of February 2022, DMG MORI announced the cessation of all sales and service in Russia, as well as all production at its plant in Ulyanovsk. In fact, DMG MORI remains an active participant in the Russian market, which contradicts its official statements.
