Trump says that during his four years in office he stopped Russia from seizing Ukraine.
US ex-President Donald Trump said he “liked” the approval of the assessment of his intentions to resolve Russia’s war against Ukraine from the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin.
The former US president has repeatedly said that if re-elected in 2024, he would decide on Russia’s war against Ukraine “within 24 hours,” but refused to explain how exactly, so as not to “lose all his trump cards.”
When asked how he assessed the words of Putin, who “can’t help but be satisfied” with Trump’s desire to resolve the war against Ukraine, the former US president said: “I like that he said that, because it means that I say. the truth.”
“I will invite him (Putin) to the room, I will invite Zelensky to the room. Then I will bring them together and negotiate a deal. I will make a deal. It would be easier if everything started earlier,” said Trump in an interview with NBC News.
He also claims that during the four years of his presidency he prevented Russia from seizing Ukraine, and that the current American leader, Joe Biden, is to blame for this.
“There is no one more difficult than me in dealing with Russia. And yet I found a common language with Putin. Let me tell you, I get along very well with him. And that is a good thing, not a bad thing. He has 1,700 nuclear missiles, just like us. But that’s good. He’s good to be with,” Trump said.
Let’s remember that President Vladimir Zelensky categorically rejects the idea of a compromise with Putin and is ready for a long war.
