Russian troops this evening, September 17, attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles and attack UAVs. Air defense forces shot down 12 air targets. This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
A total of 16 air attack weapons were recorded: six attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type and 10 air-launched missiles of the X-101/X-555/X-55 type.
The Russian Federation launched drones from the southeast and south directions – Primorsko-Akhtarskoye, Chauda. And the missiles were fired from 9 Tu-95ms strategic aircraft from the Engels area.
The main direction of the attack was the south of the Odessa region.
“Air defense worked on the route of missiles and drones. Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups and other means of destruction were involved in repelling the attack,” the Air Force said.
In total, 12 air targets were destroyed: six attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type and 6 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles.
