Poland will defend its interests regarding the import and sale of grain, Andrzej Duda promised.
Polish President Andrzej Duda confirmed the meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Their meeting will take place in New York, America. Duda’s office reported it to Twitter on Friday, September 15th.
Among the various topics of the negotiations is the import of Ukrainian grain, on which Warsaw will extend the ban after September 15.
Duda himself, in a comment in the Polish PAP publication, said that Poland will defend its interests on the issue of grain import and sale.
“The fact that this (Ukrainian grain – ed.) is sold in Poland is absolutely not in our interests, it is not in the interests of our farmers. We must protect our market, and we will do it, while at the same time trying to help Ukraine,” said Duda.
Earlier, a meeting between Duda and Zelensky was announced in Poland. They said that the presidents will meet soon.
We remind you that on September 19-25, world leaders will arrive in New York for the UN General Assembly. It is known that Vladimir Zelensky will also go to the USA. According to media reports, the president will visit Washington and meet with American leader Joe Biden.
