During the eight months of 2023, 57 cases of botulism were recorded in Ukraine, four of which were in children. Two people died from the disease, the Public Health Center reports.
As the chief sanitary doctor of the state Igor Kuzin said, most cases of botulism are related to the consumption of fish and various foods made from it.

Kuzin added that in the summer there were two reports of suspected cholera: in Zaporozhye and Chernihiv regions, positive results were obtained based on the results of rapid tests, but during the investigation of the epidemic the diagnosis was removed .
