A Su-24M military aircraft has crashed in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation. The Russian TG channel Baza wrote this on Tuesday, September 12.
According to preliminary data, the bomber crashed in the Kalachevsky district, 5 kilometers from the Lozhki farm. There were two crew members on board. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Rescue services arrived at the scene.
It was reported that the bomber was doing a training flight, there was no ammunition on board.
“At about 7 pm it disappeared from the radar. It was later learned that the plane had crashed. It is still unknown if the pilots were able to eject,” Baza wrote.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirms that the aircraft crashed during a scheduled training flight in the Volgograd region.
We remind you that in the Russian Federation a civil plane requested an emergency landing. The plane was flying from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow.
