The joint Armenian-American military exercises Partner Eagle-2023 will be held in Armenia from September 11 to 20.
In Armenia, on Monday, September 11, a joint exercise with the United States, Eagle Partner 2023, will begin, which will last until September 20. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
The exercises provide operations to strengthen relations between conflicting parties while carrying out peacekeeping tasks.
The purpose of the exercise is to increase the level of alignment between units participating in global peacekeeping missions within peacekeeping operations, share best practices in the field of command and control and tactical communications, and increase readiness of the Armenian unit for planned assessments of the Operational Capability Concept of the NATO Partnership for Peace program.
We remind you that Russia said that the holding of joint Armenian-American military exercises on the territory of Armenia “causes concern.” Yerevan responded that the joint military exercises are the result of a rapprochement between the two countries, adding that Armenia aims to improve relations with the United States in all areas.
The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Armenian Ambassador Vagharshak Harutyunyan to express a sharp protest regarding some “unfriendly measures” of the Armenian leadership. Among them are the launch of the process of ratification of the Rome Statute of the ICC, the trip to Kyiv by the wife of the Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan, and the holding of military exercises on the territory of Armenia with the participation of the United States.
