Seoul will provide financial aid to Kyiv for reconstruction. Its size is $2.3 billion.

South Korea will give Ukraine an additional $2.3 billion in reconstruction aid. This is what South Korean President Yoon Seok Yol said during a session of the G20 summit in India, Yonhap reports.

According to him, $300 million will be allocated for humanitarian needs in 2024. The remaining $2 billion will be transferred in 2025 in the form of long-term aid. We are talking about supporting social and economic infrastructure.

“This will demonstrate our responsible role as an international state in leading efforts to restore peace in Ukraine and lay the foundation for our full participation in the future reconstruction of Ukraine,” said Yoon Seok Yeol.

We remind you that earlier the South Korean government announced a sharp increase in financial assistance to Ukraine – up to $394 million for 2024. Last year, South Korea allocated $100 million in support of Ukraine.
