The Russians will use a mix of missiles and drone strikes in their attacks this fall and winter. Natalya Gumenyuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Southern Defense Forces, spoke about this at the telethon.
According to him, Russia now has a certain stock of high-precision cruise missiles, but it is less than what it was before the fall of last year, when the Russians “enjoyed the luxury” by launching massive missile strikes.
“After doing the math, they realized that suicide bombers are cheaper, but can perform almost the same tasks. Now they are developing tactics of using mixed strikes, because there are missiles and they are doing yet, but their stocks are smaller than the drones and they are more valuable,” Gumenyuk said.
The Ukrainian military understands the priority targets of the Russians for attacks in the fall and winter – most likely, it is energy.
“Their last year’s blackout, which they tried to fix, was still unsuccessful. We understand that with the same stubbornness they can “repeat” – as they like to say. We have to be ready for this, to fix the defense systems, to understand the danger and respond adequately to it,” Gumenyuk added.
We remind you that on the night of September 10, Russian troops launched 33 suicide bombs throughout the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 26 drones.
As a result of the Russian attack, debris was recorded falling in several areas of the capital. Fires broke out in Svyatoshinsky and Solomensky districts. One person was injured. In the air over Kiev, the air defense forces destroyed more than 20 air targets.
