The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the speakers of the G7 parliaments and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola, met with Emperor Naruhito of Japan. He announced this on Facebook on Saturday, September 9.
According to Stefanchuk, the reception took place at the Imperial Palace.
“A special moment. And the words of the emperor are especially important: “The people of Ukraine are in a very difficult situation. I hope that peace will be restored soon,” the head of the Verkhovna Rada wrote.

As you know, Ruslan Stefanchuk is on a working visit to Japan, where he is participating in the G7 parliamentary summit.
It was also reported that Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa arrived in Ukraine on a visit. It was his first visit since the Russian invasion began.
